Infants
and children may have unusual heart defects or problems that require
surgery to fix. Specially trained teams of doctors, nurses, and technicians
are needed to treat these problems. This indicator reports the total
number of many different types of heart surgeries performed by surgeons
in a hospital on patients under age 18.
