Association
An Association Organization is one that is legally incorporated to provide its members a shared mission and purpose. It may be related to a type of business or governmental entity, a single industry, a disease or set of diseases, a charitable function, or other function deemed to be an Association Organization by a vote of the Members. An Association Organization is a not-for-profit entity. This type of organization may not be in the primary business of purchasing health care services of members of the Association except that it may purchase health care benefits for its own employees or provide health care services to eligible beneficiaries under the auspices of its mission and purpose.
